It was quick to read. The ideas were interesting.
There wasn’t much detecting going on. Although we’re told several times that the main character is a good detective, there is little evidence of that in this book.
Also, the relationships were very shallow.

Entre cumprir seu trabalho de detetive, e sua obrigação enquanto filha e irmã, esta é uma narrativa que mostra um das grandes dificuldades ainda hoje enfrentada por mulheres em todo o planeta: como conciliar carreira com família. Consigo em identificar com a protagonista, mas algumas coisas na história me pareceram pouco verossímeis. De qualquer forma, é uma leitura interessante.

This is a quick, easy, and enjoyable read. It has the key element that makes a great detective story, where the detective has their own story woven throughout that will need resolution by the time the series ends. There were some errors that weren’t caught, but nothing that impacted the overall plot. I’ll definitely read the next one.

OK! I originally started this book like two years ago and I wasn’t very dedicated to reading so obviously I never finished it. I decided to get back to it today and it’s not a bad book. I do remember it being more interesting when I first read it then now, but all in all pretty good. It is very quick paste. Very easy read. The writing generally is almost YA but also it’s not. I’m gonna go ahead and finish out the series because I still found it very interesting, but it definitely has some dull/slow spots.
