I appreciate that Haru was reading “No longer human” err…”No longer animal*”. Her taste in literature is dark. It seems her and Legoshi both enjoy tragic stories. If I remember correctly, the anime fails to carry this detail

At the request of my friend, I have begun to read this series and I’m liking it so far. The social commentary it is engaging with is very clear from the beginning which I really appreciate and I’m very interested to see how that will be expanded on. I’m liking a lot of the characters so far, however Louis is the most interesting to me in terms of how his character fits into the story. Not super crazy about the interaction between Naru and Legoshi since it felt like it was playing into some kind of fetish and was giving not consensual vibes, however nothing explicit or sexual actually happened. Very interested to see how their dynamic and relationship will build and how the ecosystem of the school setting will affect it. 8/10, a very strong start.

coming from the anime so i knew i’d love this one. i especially love legoshi as a character and i think in the manga, he’s even more lovable and charming. i liked the pacing and the set up a little more in the manga than i did in early episodes to the anime.
