I guessed the ending about halfway through, but I still loved the book (ive read so many thrilllers its hard to throw me anymore, so even being able to throw me for half is something) . the ending is a little drawn out and sad, but thats BA's style. Overall, it was great.

In my opinion, this is a great mystery for beginners. It’s not too dark, but maintains the creepy atmosphere. For me the ending was predictable, but I definitely will be looking into the author’s other works.
Woah this book had me up until 2am finishing……that be said I don’t know if it’s a good thing or bad
I enjoyed the pace of the book following Layla, Finn and Ellen from past to present and hearing their stories or the parts they shared
The twist at the end was shocking but became for me a bit overdone, in the sense I couldn’t see something like this happening but sometimes I tend to “overthink” the plot so that being said it was good and definitely has you on the edge of your seat (or up all night) finishing and I would recommend it

Two people in love, but then one goes missing, then her sister falls in love and its back to two people in love. But THEN the original player reappears. the two now becomes a secretive thriller love triangle with no one knowing who is who, who is behind it all, and what is really happening. Everyone has secrets but could these secrets end up deadly.
This is practically a rewritten Gone Girl. For the record, I did not enjoy Gone Girl. This book was worse. The ending was ridiculous. 10/10 would not recommend.
