I finished this book in one sitting of about 4 hours. I could not put it down. A bomb could have gone off in the kitchen, and I still would have been sitting in my couch reading.

Bring Me Back is a suspense at its very best. Every theory I had was proven wrong time and time again. The plot twist was huge, and the very last line is everything.

Thanks to the publisher for the copy of this amazing book!

I am so incredibly disappointed by this book.
I have read Behind Closed Doors a few years back and I absolutely loved it. But this one? There is just a handful of books that have made feel that I have wasted my time in the least productive -and fun- way. This is in the top 5 list.

First things first, for the first three quarters of this book absolutely nothing happened. The plot was dragging and there was zero effort to cultivate any interest on the part of the reader regarding anything that happened, which admittedly wasn't much. I felt like I was reading the same chapter and again.

The characters were flat and there was no reason to actually continue reading. Also, nothing really made sense. During reading this one, I constantly thought to myself 'Wtf is wrong with these people? I mean... one sister disappears into thin air and the other gets with her boyfriend? That's absolutely fcked up.

Fuinn is such an arse on multiple levels and I disliked him right from the beginning. He keeps so many secrets, he acts weird and he is ready to throw everyone and everything under the bus in order to keep himself afloat.

All in all, this book required some impossible logical jumps to cover the huge plot holes and was ultimately very boring. I wouldn't recommend it.

!Spoiler alert!
Make love to me like you used to make love to Layla What the absolute fuck?
I don't buy this whole 'Layla became a voice deep in my head and I was Ellen now' bullshit. Also, Finn and everyone else failed to recognize her after just a year? And after spending 11 years with her he still didn't understand who she was?

Now listen, as someone who does not read this genre, I have to say, this was the most unique, dark and twisting book I've read. My mother in law recommended it to me and I flew through it so fast. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. If you like this genre, give this book a try.

A nice easy book which as u hooked from the very first page

Thank you to the author and publisher for an advanced copy of this book. I really enjoyed it! It is fast-paced and a quick read. I really wanted to know what happened next. Not only was the plot twist dramatic, but I loved the descriptions in the book. Their life sounded so cozy and idyllic, which made the sinister happenings even creepier. Highly recommended!

I was going to give this 3 stars only for the twists and turns, but the ending pissed me off because the endless twists and turns were all for nothing. quick read, whatever.

Bring Me Back by B.A. Paris
★ ★ ★ ★
I had a hard time with this one because I really, really wanted this to entrap me like Behind Closed Doors did. However, it was still a decent thriller! Ending made it worth it!! Definitely a quick read, too.

12 years ago, Layla vanished while her and Finn were on a trip.

12 years later, Finn is planning to marry Layla’s older sister, Ellen, and signs of Layla start appearing.

So is Layla dead...or alive?

That’s all I can really say without giving anything away, but this is a good creepy thriller with an odd element and a good twist that made it worthwhile!

I need to read The Break Down and The Dilemma by Paris still, and I’m hopeful that these will really intrigue me like Behind Closed Doors!! Have you read these? Which should I start with? What’re your thoughts?!

ALSO! It looks like Paris is coming out with The Therapist this year! (April 2021). So I’m definitely checking that one out!

PS I got this book at the local Dollar Tree thanks to @readingwith_cloe and @theofficialcourtreport telling me about these amazing $1 deals on hardback books!!
