Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

I love a good twisty thriller, but my overwhelming feeling when I finished this book was, 'What did I just read?!?' This book left me guessing until the end. I loved the little clues, the uncertainty, and the overarching question of what happened to Layla. If you enjoy psychological thrillers then I would recommend Bring Me Back.

What a plot twist! I was able to figure out part of the end at about 89% of the book, but there were so many other details I hadn't even considered. This an excellent read by an excellent author!

Bruh.

This is one of those books were everyone is morally bad, have no redeeming qualities, basically leaving you with no one to root for really.
There were little clues about the twist within the choice of words of one of the characters but it is just so weird and unbelievable that one doesn't even consider the actual twist as an option.
I don't remember if this is a B.A. Paris thing or if it's just a one time issue with this book, but the cliff-hanger chapter endings were so cheesy, after the first couple you can just tell the next ones will be overexaggerated normal events.

this just didn’t really work for me. The characters were unlikeable, I guessed the big twist, and then (probably because I stopped paying attention towards the end) I was left with some questions about the logistics of it all. I want to read Behind Closed Doors because I’ve heard such good things but I’m wondering if B. A. & I don’t jive…
