Semi Christmas related… but I did grow up with Christmas movies being played in my parents house every month throughout the year so it wasn’t a huge deal to read in Feb.
It was a pretty solid Christmas Carol retelling, but with a Groundhogs day twist… yeah that’s probably the best way to describe this book.
The characters were fine, growth was good, storyline interesting. It just fell into the “okay” category for me. Writing was good, but I didn’t find myself caring one way or the other on what would happen. My favourite character was the watch seller… which isn’t any of the main characters so that should tell you something.
Well crafted story that didn’t bring too much additional punch to those story ideas or tropes.

This book is cute. So so so cute. With a huge psych focus. I thoroughly enjoyed even tho it dabbled from romance into fantasy and back out again. The story is written from a very male perspective and a very British one at that. But I enjoyed the story, the lessons, the vibe and also the easy reading style.
Just a quick warning tho: it’s themed around Christmas. So choose when to read it.
