Demon possession or mental health breakdown?!?  What a premise and execution!

A very unsettling read as we follow Amanda's decent into madness.  The origin of the demon is great, the biblical angle is perfect.

i loved this sm. only critique is that i wish it was longer. which i guess means i thought it was a little anticlimactic, but i still loved it for what it was.

my only other thought is that i wish we got namaah’s POV during the blackouts. I feel like that would have been dark. But that’s only to say I loved the situation Sara created and wanted to knkw more.

I really enjoyed this book, sad as it is. The feeling of dread it gave me was as exhilarating as it is painful.

Sara Gran writes about whatever the hell she wants to write about, and I'm into all of it. I've read four of her books, now (the first two Claire DeWitts, Dope, and this one), and she's given me dark period noir, modern hard-boiled detective, and a demonic fable. She's the kind of writer I'd like to be (I think I've said this before), and I love her weirdness.
