Oh my God, Elsie Silver, you own my heart! When I opened this book I knew I was gonna like it however, I was very shocked that it wasn’t a cowboy romance, and in fact is a sports romance. I have never read a book about wrestling and I’m shocked how much I got into it. Now I did watch wrestling when I was a kid. I am not now, but my family is still big fans and now my mom needs to read this book because she will flip out.
This book was so special. I think I was shocked by how long it was, 450 pages is pretty chunky for a romance novel, but I understand why. The grief in this book and the overlapping timelines with the past books makes total sense why it was this long. The length gives the story the time it needs to build and rebuild storylines, narrative and relationships. Honesty, I could’ve kept reading a couple more hundred pages of the story. It was so so special. I also read it in two days because I could not put it down, such a good read.
The characters were so real.  Tabby. I loved her so much, the way she dealt with her emotions in the beginning was so realistic, and her growth throughout the book was so special and Rhys. Dear god, that man. He just needs to communicate a little bit more, but that is part of why we love him. Again, Elsie Silver‘s kids just take the cake. Milo a three-year-old with all the personality in the world, so so cute. And of course, all the reoccurring characters that we love popping back up is really special.
I think Elsie Silver dealt with grief and also addiction really well. The inclusion of the journals and Erika’s thought process, I think was dealt with such care and so realistic. As a drug counselor, it really touched me and also made me very angry at Tabby at times for taking so much blame and responsibility, but that is definitely a true representation
This book will make you laugh. This book will make you sob. This book will make you want to throw it across the room at points but it’s such a good read and I can’t wait for the next one.
I don’t know how she’s going to make ex-boyfriend‘s dad work and I’ve never read that trope before so we will be in for a ride.

“…and I’m a husband to Tabitha Garrison, the mega-hot brunette who makes the best carbonara in the world.
And it strikes me that this is my favorite thing I’ve ever been.”

as someone who has loved wrestling my whole life, this was such a fun surprise to go in blind and realize rhys was a professional wrestler, it also made me feel more connected to him as a character. this is my hopeless of the rose hill series. i get emotional just thinking about these characters and all they went through. tabitha is such a strong women, and deserves everything good in life and rhys, my babyyyy ugh he finally is getting every inch of love he has earned through his years of suffering. i love them your honor. I LOVE THEM.
