it was fine, i just felt quite abrupt and not fully fleshed out. there were attempts at depth with the plot, but the family dynamics were not explored as well as they could have been
Ugh I’m a sucker for Elsie Silver and all the romance tropes— shy boy and spitfire woman ✅, super cute child ✅, small town romance ✅, forced proximity/marriage of convenience ✅ all of it I was down for! So good and cute and sweet and just serious enough to not be too silly

Dual POV, first person present tense.
Rhys and Tabby work for their love, and the progression from distrust to love is wonderful to witness. Once the steam hits, it's gloriously spicy and fun. The third act was done really well. Definitely my favorite of the series thus far.

I felt that it ended a bit abruptly, honestly wanted more but that's always the sign of a good book!
