What a hauntingly ironic end. Such a tragically beautiful story this was. I'm just so heartbroken right now. The book was flawed ngl but in the heightened state of my emotions rn I couldn't care less.
The trifecta just went puff?? I was just perplexed there.
It had its flaws, but I'm sad rn so yah!

‼️Contains Spoiler‼️

Thoughts are my own. My opinion over this book is just the way my brain works.

I just finished this book and can't stop to feel disappointment. But at least I tried to finished it and not DNF'd but I wish I did because this book is just a flop. I hate Rin's character from the beginning until the end😩 I thought she's gonna redeem herself in the 2nd and 3rd book but I'm just hoping. Her monologue and inner monolgue just made me cringe🫣 She carried a lot of rage for a 21 years old, and I struggled with some of her actions. Lines after crude lines, and it's getting in my nerves. What's with the fuck, shit, holy fuck then tiger's tits and great tortoise? The first book holds lots of promise and then it just keeps getting worse. It doesnmt need to be this long. If she's going to die in the end you can finish her in book 1 or 2.🤦🏽‍♀️

This book is the ultimate culmination of what the series is trying to tell us; which is that war is brutal and utterly without mercy. It wrecked me,
it feels like a tragedy that you can see coming but can do nothing to stop. I knew Rin was too far gone to be able to come back and I love that she finally saw why former rulers conceded, it felt like the inevitable end not only for her character but for the nation as a whole.
