Tropes: opposites attract, miscommunication

Enjoyed the musical parts of this story the most, but found the gratuitous sexual content too much. The texting was a more realistic part of the relationship development than the in-person stuff, which was essentially all Insta-lust, all the time. An enjoyable read, regardless. I did feel sorry for the MMC and the way he was treated by so many people.

These two are infinitely more likable than Piper and Brendon.

I feel like Hannah and Fox were developed more than Piper and Brendan, and I really enjoyed how they communicated what they wanted, rather than the typical rom-com miscommunication trope. The smut was still pretty smutty and a bit cringey at times lol but in a fun(ny) way.

Lauren Sweet did a good job narrating the audiobook.

Sweet. Sentimental. Not a lot of spice but the parts that are spicy are exceptionally well written. Grumpy sunshine meets friends to lovers meets taboo sexual encounter. Exactly what you want a romcom novel to be.

What a great sequel! The buildup to Hannah & Fox's relationship was really sweet and it made sense with the timeline which was something I was worried about. Instead of playing into the playboy trope, Bailey makes important points about "pretty boys" and what toxic masculinity can do to them.

I honestly didn't expect the book to become this deep but it just made the ending and Hannah & Fox's HEA all the sweeter. They've truly worked through their issues and Fox is ready for this new chapter! Hannah is a really endearing heroine — she spends a lot of time thinking of herself as the hype girl and not the main lady but she eventually comes into herself and realises that she can support her friends & family and still be that leading lady she wants to be.

Bailey still riles me up with her doing a 90% drama instead of a normal 75% — it just stresses me out okay — but besides that, I really enjoyed this book and I'll pick up more of her rom-coms!

Really truly loved Fox’s development and personally related HARD to Hannah. Gave me hope. But wasn’t as spicy as IHOS

I love Hannah and Fox as main characters, I wanted more of them in the first book and this didn't disappoint. I love their shared journey, and I love how positive and observant Hannah is and how hard Fox is trying to move past his emotional blockages for both himself and for Hannah.
