It’s not a mystery to the reader who is the murderer in this story as it starts out with a chapter from the killer’s perspective. We then follow Fitz who is a police detective in New York. He is working with Captain Jack to hopefully find the serial killer before he strikes again. During the investigation we met some of Fitz’s chosen family. One of those turns out to be MJ. The same woman who has had a crush on Fitz since she was five. MJ sometimes struggles with the level of protectiveness that Fitz displays, and also her long held feelings for him. Fitz does everything he can to hunt the killer, but keeps his family number one always. I had to keep reading to discover what was going to happen. I was fully invested in the characters and the story from the start! In Uniquely Mine you can find crime, romance, and family devotion.

What an amazing story! Fitz is an incredible detective hunting down a twisted killer. He is trying to protect MJ, his childhood friend. She is the owner of a BDSM agency that is being targeted. The romance and suspense are intense and full of intrigue. This killer is a sick monster that wants to be caught and is teasing Fitz. The characters are so well=developed that you can honestly feel the emotions coming off them as they are trying to protect MJ and find the sick killer. All MJ wants is to protect her clients and her job. You can feel the pull between the antagonist and the protagonist. I was pulled in right from the start and couldn’t stop until the end. I finished this one in a day. The plot had a good flow and a few plot twists thrown in made it outstanding. What a great book! Romantic suspense lovers will love it.

Uniquely Mine : A Fitz Series Book One
By Theresa Sederholt
5/5 Stars

Uniquely Mine is the first book in A Fitz Series by Theresa Sederholt. Wow… I don’t even know where to begin with this review!
This is my first book in the murder/mystery genre in quite a while. I’ve read a couple books by Theresa before. But this one is probably my favorite so far!!
I seriously couldn’t put it down! Even when I was busy “adulting”, I was trying to hurry up and finish. So, I could relax and read. This story was constantly on my mind!!
This story may be a trigger to some domestic violence survivors. It does contain some violent scenes and/or incidents. So, please be careful, and read at your own risk!!
The characters are strong with high intelligence. The way they think is brilliant! I’ve always been very fascinated by detectives minds. How they get in the murderer’s head, is incredibly interesting to me.
I highly suggest this book!! Especially if you enjoy reading murder/mystery books!! This one, will have you turning the pages, wondering what’s next!! You will not be able to put it down!!
Wonderful job, Theresa Sederholt!! I’m starting the second book in the series right now.. I can’t wait to see what’s next!!

Uniquely Mine is my first serial killer thriller with romance thrown in. I really didnt know what to expect. While reading this book i got goosebumps because of well the author went into details on everything. This story is based in New York, and the attention to detail that the author went into was just amazing.
Fitz is a police officer by day and a man trying to fight his hidden desires by night. He bacame an Officer because he wasn't able to save someone from his past and it still haunts hom to this day. He feels the need to save everyone. Fitz has no choice but to face his hidden desires for the only woman he has ever loved. She is the sole reason he lives and wakes up everyday, but now that a new serial killer is on the loose and Mackena ,MJ, is the target they both have some re-evaluating to do.

"I'm the defender of those who can'tdefend themselves. I'm jaded by humanity, the humanity i see on a daily basis. I try to be the best i can be, but sometomes it's hard." Fitz. I chose this quote from the book because this perfectly describes what Fitz lives by. He the protector, a strong man who will make sure what he holds dear is protected.

Mackena is so tired of trying to bury her feelings for Fitz. He has been her knight for so long. But now that she is the target of a serial killer she will no longer hold herself back. Even if he doesn't feel the same way at least she tried. Now that everything is out in the open she has a reason to fight against this killer, she has a future to get started. Are Fitz and Mackena able to have their HEA or does the killer take whats his?

"I look at every picture and i know i will never love anyone like i love him. The club and eveything associated with it had been away to separate me from the loneliness." Mackena. I chose this one because all through the book you could feel that they had an attraction and for her to come out and say that there is no one for her but Fitz just sends your heart into so many emotions. You just can't help but feel sad yet happy.

Detective Fitzgerald Rodriguez (Fitz) is investigating a string of murders that ends up being the work of a serial killer that spans 3 cities.

This book takes place in New York and it is described so well that I felt like I was living there.

Fitz grew up being part of the Justice family and when their daughter Makenna ends up being the serial killers ultimate target he works overtime trying to protect her and the family.

Makenna has been in love with Fitz for a very long time and through this book Fitz opens up and lets Makenna in, realizing he also has loved her for just as long.

It's a fight to the end to see if they are going to have a future together.

The characters in this book are described so well I felt that I knew them all.

This book is super intense. It has been a long time since a book intrigued me so much. I didn't want to put it down and it took everything I had not to skip to the end to see how everything played out.

I absolutely loved this book! Very well done, Theresa Sederholt! I'm a fan of yours for life!

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review.

Uniquely Mine by Theresa Sederholt is a romantic mystery-thriller novel. This genre is not normally one I read, but I thought would try something new. The book is told in multiple POVs, which I liked. You got the story from every person involved.

Det. Fitz Rodriguez is determined to solve a serial killer case which is centered around his best friend’s little sister – Makenna Justice. He’s trying to solve this case without his feelings for Makenna getting in the way. Mark Chambers is the White Rose Killer and he has his sights set on Makenna. Living a double life, just to make sure Makenna is his forever. Makenna “MJ” is a club owner, who has no idea that she is being stalked by a serial killer. All she wants is to be with Fitz and need to tell him.

I didn’t want to put this book down, it kept me on the edge of my seat with every page. Need to read this book if you like murder mystery mixed with friendship/family drama.

Uniquely Mine ( A Fitz Series) by Theresa Sederholt
Rated 5 stars

This story was intriguing. The serial killer, the love interest and the cop. It was a mystery of who would get to the love interest first.....or last.
The story was captivating and the writing was smooth. Each character held their own story until they were meshed together. This is a great thriller that told all sides of the story.
Fitz was a strong character! I love his relationship with Andy and his family! How they treat him just like one of them. The mom nagging (with love) and the brother telling on him. Perfect!
The relationship between MJ and Andy was great. I love their feelings of family. Stephen was amazing! I loved how Fitz always paid him when they conversed!
How he helps everyone when it's needed.
The ending is ah-ma-zing! Really gave me the feels!
PS..the Superman theme was a great add!
Just one question….what became of the tattoo?

Uniquely Mine: A Fitz Series by Theresa Sederholt is a crime story that has action, mystery and of course some romance. This story as some situations in here that will make you cringe and feel compassion, physical abuse is very real to some. This author has done a great job in touching on this and taking care to be sensitive with it as well. This is my first story by this author and I enjoyed her writing style and her creativeness for the plot of this story. Her story has many things going on all at the same time but by the end it all makes sense and is put together in a nice little package. Her story pulled me in from the first word and kept me engaged until the last word. Her characters are true to life and connectable. They will pull you into their world of suspense and murder.

This story is about Fitz, MJ and of course you have the murder suspect. They each have their own things going on but when they all come together, you don't want to miss what happens. Fitz is the FBI agent investigating a series of murders across the U.S. MJ is a woman who in her second life is into BDSM to help less her stress of her day job. The murder suspect is obsessed with MJ. She excites him like his first kill and he starts stalking her. Now time is running out, will Fitz capture him before he can hurt MJ? Fitz's character is the handsome hero type. He is strong, tough and has strength to do what needs to be done. MJ in my opinion is a little weak as she just can't seem to let the club scene go when she needs too. She needs an out to her day job which she has found but will it put her life in danger? The murder suspect, our killer, is just that. He is selfish, cold hearted and wants what he wants. In my opinion his character is meant not to like him but he makes a great character. All three will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat through all the twists and turns. I highly recommend this story as I know that you will want to see if this killer gets caught in time. This is one of my favorite crime and hot sexy romance stories I have read in awhile. I will be going back for more of this author.

Uniquely Mine is a murder mystery with a touch of bdsm and a side of love. It is an action packed, suspenseful story that will have you holding your breath waiting for the happy ending.

Main characters Fitz and Makenna are best friends since childhood with each secretly in love with the other. But as is the case with best friends, each thinks the other is out of their league and they don’t want to lost the great friendship they have.
Fitz, at first, comes across as dull and withdrawn, but as the story progresses we come to realize that “Fitzy” is a master detective with the potential to be a hot, dominant alpha. Especially when it comes to Makenna.
Makenna is the owner of a BDSM club. She has two reasons for being the owner but the biggest reason is because
“When I’m outside of this club, I’m everything for everyone. I handle my parent’s finances and everything they need. I help Stephen take care of all of Andy’s health care needs. I do it all, and maybe the need for someone else to take the lead and take care of me is what drives me, I’m not sure.” –Makenna

I enjoyed this story very much even though I don’t read many mysterious myself. The characters are believable and fun. However there is a warning that some scenes may be a trigger for domestic abuse. I look forward to more from Theresa Sederholt, maybe a story about Makenna's brother?

Uniquely Mine is the first book in A Fitz Series by the incredibly talented Theresa Sederholt. This is a gripping page turner- a little dark, violent and thrilling. The story is multi-faceted, with several different perspectives and various elements- which Ms. Sederholt deftly weaves into a smooth, tight, and seamless read. She has set the bar high with this book, it’s such a powerful start to a series.
Fitzgerald S. Rodriguez (Fitz) is a Detective with the New York Police Department who has a high clearance rate for the cases he works on. He has an uncanny ability for getting into the mindset of criminals, especially serial killers. He tends to ‘lose’ himself in these cases and finds it a little difficult to come back to the ‘real world’. His experiences have left him quite jaded, but he’s incredibly good at his job and is sought after from all the precincts when they have complicated cases that need closing.
There is serial killer on the loose in New York City, as three bodies have been discovered in the past few weeks all bearing the same ‘signature’. Fitz begins investigating and soon discovers that someone close to him may be in the deranged killer’s sights.
Makenna Justice (MJ) has secretly loved Fitz since she was five years old. He’s always been her hero and she wants nothing more than to make a life with him. But their lives are a little complicated, as he was raised in her family after his mother died, and she is scared to tell him how she feels, just in case he doesn’t feel the same way. So, she’s said nothing all these years and it’s slowly destroying her.
Makenna runs an elite BDSM club called ‘Mystik’- using the club as a way of dealing with her pent-up emotions. As her situation becomes more perilous, she is going to have to let down her defences, allow Fitz behind the walls she’s erected and follow his direction. Easier said than done.
Fitz has his job cut out for him with this case, there is so much at stake and he’s determined to protect the ones he loves. He will be pitted against a clever and devious killer, in a game of cat and mouse, as Fitz desperately tries to track down the killer before he can strike again. Will Fitz be able to keep Makenna safe? Will he discover the killer’s identity? Will Fitz and Makenna finally confess their feelings for one another?
The author did an incredible job of putting the reader into the mindset of a killer. It was chilling, creepy and fascinating. The suspense and mystery elements of the story were done brilliantly; with breathtaking tension and gripping drama. There were incredibly funny moments that had me laughing out loud, especially the funny banter/antics between the ‘family’ members. The romance was angsty- such a push/pull situation that these two were in. There connection and chemistry was electric, but fought these feelings out of fear. After reading the story this all makes sense- but there are times through the story where I just wanted to bang their heads together because it was so frustrating. The ‘bedroom’ scenes are really sizzling!
The story is written from several character POV’s- including the killer’s- which adds an extra fascinating dimension to the story.
I am so looking forward to reading more of this series!

Thank you, Ms. Sederholt!
