22. Only a few months late I read The Discourse. This is a remarkable, and remarkably sad, story of abuse and the destruction of a human being. As much as I know that this isn't the point I found the writing style was just one note and somewhat relentless in the way it was written that detracted from the story she was telling. It could also feel uneven in the the way it was paced, with more time dedicated to her childhood and then skimming over the height of her game. However the strongest elements were her writing about the conservatorship itself, which was genuinely moving.

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever finished a book so fast! It’s definitely a heavy read, but so insightful!
Britney Spears is really a badass! She has suffered so much trauma, and still does her best to find the light in a dark situation! All I can say is, get ready because this book is gonna make you feel a bus load of emotions!
