Britney is a good storyteller and has been through so much. It was nice to finally get to hear her side of things and for her to finally be able to speak out and reclaim her story.

as always, since this is a memoir, the rating is not about the story, but about the way it was written.
I've never been a big Britney fan, mostly because I was born in 2003 haha. but I obviously know her big hits and I was one of the supporters of the #FreeBritney movement once I found out what was happening to her.
it's insane how much she went through and how unfair the world was to her and she was so right when she said (and I've literally talked about it too before I even read this), this wouldn't have happened if she wasn't a woman. men like Kanye West have done and said WAYYYYY worse than her and have actual confirmed mental illnesses and nothing happens to them. they still have control over their careers, they still have supporters, they can do anything they want.
if I was in her place I'd genuinely done way worse than just shaving my head.
what her family did?? absolutely disgusting. I don't have kids but I can't imagine how anyone could do that to their kids, and I do have a brother and I could never imagine doing what her sister did.... how could they do that???
and I've never liked Justin Timberlake but what he did to her??? EVIL. absolutely evil. and her ex husband too (never even heard of him honestly, that just shows how relevant he is lmao). what vile men.
and as a future therapist, I'm disgusted by how she was treated by those doctors.
also, I've always hated paparazzi but this book made me hate them more than ever. and I don't hate anyone, so this is saying something.
and I've seen that she has divorced her husband that she's with by the end of the book so while I don't know what happened, I hope he wasn't another man who wronged her.
I hope she thrives in her life with her children and the few friends she has that actually were good to her.
