This memoir is 100% Britney. She does a great job sharing her story, even if the writing itself isn't fantastic throughout the book. While there are parts that feel disjointed and odd, I enjoyed getting her overall perspective.

Sin rating porque es raro darle estrellas a alguien contando su vida.

Espero que esté viviendo la vida que siempre quiso vivir y sea feliz.

4.5 but rounding up. I loved how raw it was. When we think of "raw", especially in memoir, we often conjure up thoughts of brutality, visceral and specific descriptions, the worst tragedies laid out starkly. But the rawness I appreciated and enjoyed here had more to do with the rough, scattered reality of Spears' past and current existence. It was like listening to several recordings of someone's person-centred therapy sessions. I enjoyed hearing her experience of her history, getting hung up on details that others might find frivolous while moving swiftly past some of the larger transgressions against her. The picture it paints ends up being utterly complete - messy, unclear, spiky, full of both love and hurt and the weird place in between. That's the place in which a lot of people live after sustained abuse and manipulation, especially in femmes.

I don't have much else to add when the experience of listening to this just perfectly encapsulates someone's current experience of their past. It just is what it is, and I love it for that.
