Okay that was a fun read. it will be interesting to see what happens next.

Case Closed volume three continues to follow the story of Conan Edogawa as he tries to find the men who shrunk his body as well as avoid anyone finding out his true identity as Jimmy Kudo, high school detective. Will he ever get closer to regaining his old body? Has Ran/ Rachel worked out who Conan really is? Will detective Mouri ever be right about who the killer is? All to be revealed in the series.

This volume was a considerable improvement on the second one. Not only were both mysteries pretty good but none of the annoying characters appeared.

There were two mysteries in this volume. The first one went for seven chapters and the other one went for the last three. The first one was essentially a closed circle serial killer case on a rich families boat. It was fairly unpredictable and it was never entirely clear what was going on. I vaguely did remember this case from my first read through but only snippets. This, out of all the cases i have read so far in this re-read, is my favourite. The second one was more of a mysterious incident then murder and found Conan, Ran and, Mouri investigating mysterious deliveries to a surgeon. Again this was fairly unpredictable and only towards the very end did i manage to work out what was going on. This was one of the more simple cases so far but also a fairly fun one.

There were no new characters introduced this volume. Instead the main characters introduced previously were further developed and fleshed out a bit more. It is also the first time Ran gets suspicious of Conan's true identity.

Overall really enjoyed this volume and had trouble finding issues with it. Looking forward to seeing how the plot unfolds and what other cases are coming up.

This is a great suspense when Ran gets more suspicious of Conan's real identity.

He's at it again, helping the P.I. solve two cases. One on a ship, where the clues formed together slowly. The other on land involving a child. These illustrations definitely feel nostalgic.

I lost my objectivity and I will keep giving this 5/5 because I love it!

Honestly, though, this one has the best mystery so far. It's long and I figured it out quickly, but it was so good.

As always, I love this series with its delightful art style, clever paneling, and dramatic line work! In this volume, there were only 2 mysteries (not a bad thing) because the first mystery was longer and more complex (a good thing, since it contained many characters involved in 3 murders on a boat!) whereas the previous volumes both contained shorter 3-4 mysteries each. New gadgets from Dr. Agasa keep appearing, and the tension rises as Rachel starts questioning Conan’s identity for the first time! Oof

A book to take my mind off things! I love closed room mysteries. (OKAY I AM BIASED AS A DAD BUT I AM GLAD THE SECOND STORY ENDED WITHOUT JAIL.)
