wow... this one was a real slog to get through.
200 odd pages it was really a struggle to read some of this book. Probably not something I'm going to pick again for a little while.

The blurb for this book indicated that the reader should heed the warning that it was dark. Well, yes, I expected dark. I didn’t expect kidnapping and rape. There should have been a warning about non-con in the blurb. Kayne and Jett have to be imbeciles if this was the “only way” they could think of to keep Ellie safe. I was disturbed most of the way through this book and only finished because a friend promised me there was an “uplifting twist” at the end. There wasn’t. The ends did not justify the means for me and it ended on a cliffhanger, so I don’t even get resolution that Ellie is okay. This was my first and last M. Never book. I can’t support an author who tries to paint a rapist as a good guy.

Owned by M. Never is a tantalizing tale of sex, lies, and betrayal. This story took me on an emotional journey, which left me yearning for more. Within the first few pages, I realized this story was going to rip me apart and leave me bared and raw just like her characters. And it did just that! God, I loved this book.
Each of her characters added intense layers to the story that produce an all-around great book.
Kayne is strong, honest, and a truly caring soul. He wants nothing more than to care for those who care for him. He has a trouble pass that makes it hard for him to let others in and to trust them. However, once he does allow you in he will do ANYTHING to protect you. He is fantastically SEXY, and Dominating.
Ellie is head strong, brave, and funny. You will fall in love with her from the start. Even though she’s faces events that would destroy others, she is able to hold on to herself and all she believes in. She allows these events to make her stronger, even if others see it has her being weak or losing her identity.
What can I say about Jett? God there is just too much to mention, just know you will LOVE him!
I give this book 5 STARS!! It shattered me in all the right places. I absolutely loved this book!

Honestly, this book was really good at first, but as it progressed it was just a book filled with erotic scenes and hardly any storyline. It just got really boring. I was waiting for something good to happen and it never came.

Um, since when is drugging and kidnapping someone to rape them repeatedly considered "mild abuse". Having not read dark erotic romance before, and with an insufficient warning, I was pretty horrified as I started reading. I couldn't continue. Too disturbing. PLEASE make the warnings more appropriate, if you are going to bother with them at all. Kidnapping. Drugging. Sexual assault.

DNFed at 24%. Maybe i have read too many dark romances. But the parts i read seem so familiar as they unfolded. No original plot line. I can see the ending before 50%.
