Penelope Douglas can WRITE and this one is no exception. My main complaint is that the characters were in high school. It was an adult marketed book with spurs of high school pettiness. Had the characters been in college, it would’ve been a lot easier to read.
The plot itself was good and and entertaining. The “spice” that booktok hyped up isn’t as crazy as I had expected.
Oh, and Reyn is probably one of my least favorite female characters that I’ve ever read about. P. Douglas did an exceptional job at making her shallow and unlikeable (not sure if this was her intentions but it definitely worked).

I love this book, I love the two main characters ,I love their stories and I loved how the author brought in characters from her other books. Penelope Douglas is becoming one of my favourites

A great book about a love that grows and transcends decades. I love the vulnerability of the characters and their plotlines. I would have liked more insights into the side characters rather than focusing everything on Misha and Ryen but appreciate the story building nonetheless.

Me enamoré de Misha desde el primer momento, los plow twist de este libro me dejaron loca, lo único que no me gustó fue que Misha engañara a Ryen convirtiendose en Mason

REVIEW: PUNK 57 BY PENELOPE DOUGLAS
RATING: 4/5 ⭐️
SYNOPSIS: In fifth grade, my teacher set us up with pen pals from a different school. Thinking I was a girl, with a name like Misha, the other teacher paired me up with her student, Ryen. My teacher, believing Ryen was a boy like me, agreed. It didn’t take long for us to figure out the mistake. And in no time at all, we were arguing about everything. The best take-out pizza. Android vs. iPhone. Whether or not Eminem is the greatest rapper ever… And that was the start. For the next seven years, it was us. We only had three rules. No social media, no phone numbers, no pictures. We had a good thing going. Why ruin it?
i think this one is a 3.5 ⭐️ but i rounded up to a 4. it wasn’t my FAVORITE PD book i’ve ever read (hi credence) but it was fineeee! the plot twist near the end SHOOK me
