Thw book was an easy read. There is no big drama. The characters really have a healthy relationship. I think it had potential to be a little longer so that there was more character development. But overall I really liked the Dane and Elliott

4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 stars!!  Elliott, who is a photographer has had an issue in relationships, so she never really does long term…only hookups, which typically don’t end well either. She goes to the club one night with her friend, Sasha and there she meets Dane.  They have an instant connection and decide to go back to Elliott’s place for some “fun”, except the night doesn’t end well, so Dane leaves and they don’t see each other again…until two years later.

Elliott has been asked to take engagement photos for Bailey, who happens to be Dane’s sister.  They decide that they do not want a repeat of what happened two years prior and decide to be friends only.  What they didn’t expect was for their friendship to potentially become something more.

We also learn more about Elliott, who is the backbone of her family and why she feels the pressure of taking care of everyone, including her Nan, but never feels the same in return.  Dane helps her through this process and she learns that she needs to prioritize herself also. Dane has issues when it comes to relationships also, and we learn why he feels that he doesn’t deserve love.  But in the end love will prevail.

This was such a cute and fun rom-com that I really enjoyed and definitely recommend!

Anise is one of my auto buy authors and once again she did not miss with One More Shot.  This is a love note to the oldest daughters of the family and it spoke to me!

I adored Elliot and Dane's story, after a flop of a one-night stand attempt they have not seen each other for a few years until Bailey, Dane's sister, hires Elliot to be her wedding photographer. They have this second chance and decide to move forward with a friendship that eventually blossoms into more. Even though Dane is not one to look for love he sure is swoony, understanding, caring and everything that Elliot needs in her stressful life. Elliot's struggle with her family was relatable, she was the one that everyone turned to when things needed to be done, and like the people pleaser that she is with them it is hard for her to say no. Dane was who she needed to help lighten the burden and remind her that it is okay to put herself first, in all aspects of her life. I absolutely loved that we see the whole crew from books 1 and 2 of the series, I enjoyed the scenes when they were present and loved seeing how life was treating them!

This is a swoony and steamy, second chance/ friendship to lovers story!

Thank you to the author for the opportunity to receive an ARC.

Elliott has never been able to achieve an orgasm with a partner. It’s an embarrassing fact that she’s compelled to reveal to Dane years later when she commits to photographing the nuptials between his younger sister (Bailey) and his best friend (Cash). And Dane’s up for the challenge to support her in more ways than one. I’m not a rom-com girl, but I thought this was sweet and well-written (minus a few editing errors).
