Thank the lord that we avoided the cliche magic 🍆 trope!! I really appreciated the realistic approach to the female orgasm. So I have seen romance readers online get hung up because they can't "complete" during penetration and all these heroines go from 0-60 in two strokes. This showcased sex scenes in a real way with discussions, hang ups, and coming up with solutions like a mature couple.

So now that's out the way, I really enjoyed this book. It was more of a slower burn than the two previous books and I loved it all the more because of it. Our MCs are thrown together two years after a one night stand gone wrong and heads smoothly into a friends to lovers vibe.

I really identified with Elliot's character in that she feels so much responsibility and shoulders the weight of the world. When we got to a point where she was willing to prioritise herself and her feelings, I was cheerleading her on because it was SO necessary. Everyone was taking advantage of her and her growth in that respect was just lovely to see.

Dane was an absolute sweetheart. Never pressuring her into anything, he went at her pace and really kept the friend in friends to lovers. Because even though he was flirty with her, he was willing to JUST be her friend so he could have her in his life in some capacity. Even if they hadn't ended up together, I would've still been hyped because their friendship was just so sweet.

I think you should read this if you're looking for a fairly low angst friends to lovers where both characters have their own reasons for shying away from relationships, but eventually just love and adore and kiss the ground each other walks on.

This was cute friends to lovers vibe, but it was way too much of a slow burn. The romance itself dead doesn't start until the last few chapters. There is also only one true spicy scene. It was still a fun read, but the romance portion was definitely a let down. I'm happy I found this cute lil series though & I would recommend!

I might go back and give it the extra star but right now I’m mad it ended faster than I was expecting…I need more and want more
