The pacing in the middle section of the book almost lost me but in the end it just hits as much as it needs to, even though it’s not entirely clear how everyone managed to really climb out of the hole they were in, especially Benny. The audiobook production was really unfortunate at parts, I don’t know if I partially didn’t like some of the characters throughout because of how the reader voiced them, or because of how they behaved. I like how the conversations through time and space thing is an Ozeki thing apparently now in two of her books that I read, and that we met Nao again. Also, will I be crying at every Ozeki book in the end? bc man
If I could give this more stars, I would. It’s beautiful and sad and hopeful.

I give up - I've listened to 60%, the novel isn't terrible, but there's so much gibberish and so many small things that just feel like fillers to me, so I decided not to torment myself any further. It could also be a timing thing.
