This book felt like the author had a bunch of ideas (author x editor, childhood friends, etc.) and went what if we put them all together? And we got whatever tf this book is. It’s really messy and each element felt very separate and like it was being forced together. The “no kissing rule” felt very stupid considering they were having sex??? And also, crazy that a big aspect of this book is that he’s an editor when this book REALLY needed one.

I'm a simple girl. I will eat up childhood friends to lovers every time. Does the writing have questionable pacing? Sure but they love each other since they were teenagers so who cares
Rather easy read, but very vanilla and boring. Not my cup of tea. Like y’all were both clearly in love with each other. The stupid no kissing rule made no sense and barely worked as a plot point.

This was the start of my friends to lovers obsession. I hated friends to lovers till I got this book . She made them seem like friends to lovers but at the same time there wasn't a miscommunication trope and thats wat I loved about it
