OH MY GOD this completely blew the first book out the water - wow
when i first saw this in waterstones i literally had to pick it up no questions asked, even though i only buy from there if it’s a 2 for 1 cos new books be pricey
i love ben and arthur so much EVEN THOUGH this dumb bitch literally got them mixed up and all this time i thought ben was the short one and arthur was the tall one

I don't usually like romances. And both of these characters annoy me with their insecurities and inability to see how much the other likes them. And it seems ridiculous to read a book that's mostly about the characters not being together when you know from the beginning that they're going to be together in the end.

And yet... I loved it.

Silvestra has a talent for writing books that keep you interested even when you know exactly how they're going to end. And Albertalli writes characters I can't help but love. I know not everyone likes this pairing, but I'm here for it.

the most excited I was this entire book was when ethan came to new york. his story was so relatable!

other than that I was rooting for Ben and Mario for probably 8 out of 10 hours (which I knew wouldn't be the ending) and just felt so bad for Mikey. and yes, the ending was cute, I'm happy for them. but does that last hour make up for the frustration of the rest? Not really.
