Not gonna lie... I cried when I finished it. Nothing especially sad happens but for me, it was the end of a journey, the end of a very important part of my life, and of their lives too.
This was the end of the set of stories that I feel have shaped me a great deal.
This stories make me and will make you feel so happy and at peace. Just remembering the time when I finished them makes my heart wrench.
It's so happy but sad at the same time because you're there reading, enjoying the story, but you also know this is it, here ends the most magical journey of your life.
You'll never visit Fairy Oak again, you'll never see them at Horace McCrips again. It is done, enjoy it while you can, because you are really going to miss it.
To this day I still have to, at least once a month, get this books out, sit on the floor and spend hours going through their pages, reading parts I liked, reading the silly lists they made for Vainilla so she wouldn't think of Jim, looking at Flox's collection of spots. These books will always be with me and I congratulate and thank Elisabetta for creating such a story.

Me encanta leer cualquier cosa relativa al mundo de Fairy Oak, a sus personajes y a su ambientación. Tiene un estilo tan particular y tan único que me encantó revivirlo, aunque en este caso fuera agridulce despedirme de él después de releer la saga.

Se acabó la saga y la lc de estos libros. Qué ganas tenía de acabarlo. Este libro no ha estado mal, quizá me ha gustado más que el anterior aunque por partes. Hay capítulos de la vida de las gemelas que se conocen en esta novela. Veremos desde que nacen, pasando por su infancia hasta su adolescencia y hasta la marcha de Feli. Bonito final para esta saga infantil.

Non so descrivere bene la sensazione che provo quando leggo di Fairy Oak. È un po' come essere avvolti da una calda coperta in una notte d'inverno con una bufera che infuria fuori dalle finestre, o come bere quella tazza di tè caldo tanto attesa ai primi segnali del freddo ottobrino. Ogni parola di questa saga è conforto e magia, e sono onestamente sorpresa che Elisabetta Gnone non sia conosciuta e celebrata quanto altri autori stranieri di libri per ragazzi, ma anche un po' contenta che noi italiani ci possiamo tenere questa piccola perla per noi. Anche perché al di là dei contenuti, la prosa stessa è davvero incantevole: non ho mai letto nessun libro che fluisse così bene ma che mi facesse anche fermare ogni tanto per sgranocchiare certe parole, così ordinarie, ma così belle nella loro ordinarietà.
Dire addio a Fairy Oak è oltremodo difficile, soprattutto con un finale del genere. Che ne sarà di Felì? Come reagiranno Vaniglia e Pervinca sapendo che la loro fata se n'è andata senza salutarle un'ultima volta? Parte della tristezza è la consapevolezza che come sono cresciute le gemelle, come Felì se n'è andata e ha deciso di "chiudere" il capitolo di Fairy Oak, anche a noi che siamo cresciuti con questa saga tocca dire addio, e non solo a Fairy Oak, ma un po' anche alla nostra infanzia. La si saluta con un sapore dolce-amaro in bocca, un senso di inquietudine per il futuro, e gratitudine per quello che ci è stato dato.
Penso che il più grande errore dell'editoria italiana sia ridurlo a un libro per bambini, perché questa è una lettura che può dare tantissimo anche agli adulti. E penso anche che se tutti noi fossimo un po' più come gli abitanti di Fairy Oak, il mondo sarebbe un posto migliore.
