For a moment, I was scared to see the author going back on decisions that he made, but I'm glad that he followed through
(I’m specifically talking about Zara)
.

I was also glad to see Tania's past lives having importance here and what the Power of the Seven truly meant all along.
The first victory made me question what the other half of the book would be about, but I think Jones did a good job of convincing the reader that things were happening while maintaining suspense,
like with Cordelia's whereabouts or Lear's defeat.
However, it developed trust issues towards all the characters, but I'll overlook it for the sake of an okay-ish plot twist.

In the end, I feel that this book was similar to the third because, once again, the stakes were high and they had real problems at their hands. However, now that I've read all six books, I can solidify my opinion that I think this would do way better as a trilogy. You just have to brush it up a little and sprinkle some aspects on the first three books
(like Tania recovering her memories, her past lives bringing the Power of the Seven, etc.)
. Why? Mainly because I feel that the last three books dragged the plot and made it super repetitive. The characters seemed to make stupid decisions just to bring tension and make the plot happen, and I don't buy that.

Also, there are so many issues that I didn't see resolved:

1. If Lear knew and was controlling everyone in Faerie, why did he let Edric go to Weir, the only place with a shield against his mind control?
2. What about the Green Lady curse? It was mentioned, and I don't see a conclusion to it. Does it still hang in the air?
3. Connor was robbed in this one! Tania promised she would fill him in, and she never did. And he was redeemed just by the fact that he did not quit his doctor career?! I'm not happy with this, especially since I think he and Rathina would do much better together since they could bond and try to help each other heal by sharing the feeling of treason and failing their loved ones for their selfish reasons.
4. Speaking of Rathina, she ends up with Titus?? Wasn't he interested in Zara, or am I confused? Or was it his brother?
5. Finally, I like an open ending, but seriously, what did Oberon give away? His life? We get no answer????

Rereading a series I really liked when I was younger. Not as well written as I remembered, but I still love the story!

Nice finale to the series. I like that the ending leaves some events up to interpretation, although it could've answered the biggest decision of the series (just my opinion)

Not as good as the last few books, mainly because it left several questions unanswered, and being the last book in the series, that's not exactly a good thing. In some ways, it felt like the author tried to do too many things, and he introduced new people and new plots without tying up the old ones first. I did see on his site that he's thinking of writing an online-only novella to answer some questions, as a lot of people seem to feel the same way I do, so I'm hoping for that. It's just too bad, because this was a good series, and I'm rather disappointed it ended in such a way.

Anita/Tania is half mortal, half fairy princess. At this particular moment, however, all Anita knows is her mortal side, forgetting all the previous experiences she has had. When she realizes that she has lost about 9 weeks worth of memories, she goes searching for answers. When her mom tells her the truth of her heritage and what has been happening, she thinks her mom has gone completely crazy. Further details convince her of the truth – and the need for her to get back to the world of the fae as terrible things are happening there.
A brief summary of the previous books at the beginning is welcome for those who have forgotten what has already transpired, or who jump into a series mid-way. It is not especially noteworthy in any way, good or bad, but a solid choice for someone who wants a fairy princess story.
