Another great book by Sanderson; are we surprised? I love Sherlock Holmes so I knew this would be a fun read. Sanderson did a great job capturing the essence of Holmes to put into the main character, Wax.

This book is shorter than Sanderson’s other works, so it doesn’t have as much world building as you’d expect. I figure that’s probably because this was originally written as a novella then later turned into the first book of Mistborn Era 2.

My biggest problem was the implied romance throughout the book between Wax and Marasi. There was no need for it.
