Oops. I read another Katie Henry book in only one day. But godDAMN this book is a treasure. I actually cried at the end when I finished it because I knew I was going to miss it so much and the experience of reading it for the very first time. As with all of her novels, there is just so much gosh dang heart in this and there are moments that are actually laugh out loud hilarious. I was captivated by Izzy from the very beginning and I am SO PROUD of her growth and evolution. The stand up comedy element was super well done and, again, I actually laughed out loud at some of the sets. I really wouldn't sleep on this one if I were you. I know I'm an obvious simp for Katie Henry novels but that's because all of them are so good with so much heart and endearment to them. This book is going to be with me for a long time.
The audiobook is a great way to experience this book. The stand-up came really to life.

I didn't know what I expected with this story, but I absolutely didn't expect what I found... in the best way. I've never read a comedic story before. Now that I've finished this one, I'm asking myself why I haven't. I had a wonderful time reading this story and I'm so glad I read it.
