Niin hyvä kirja. Siis Alizeh on varmaan mun yks lemppari tyttö hahmo kirjoista. Lopuksi kyl vähä ärsytti ku Alizeh tunsi niin kovaa vetovoimaa Cyrusia kohtaa. Niin girl your soul mate is Karman. But hear me out, literally Cyrus is loukey eating.

I’m very interested to see where these characters end up by the end of this series!

I'm flabbergasted at how nothing really happens in this book? I first thought it was the second book in a trilogy, but I just now learned it's a five-part series. The writing is well done. It's flowery and beautiful, and the characters talk like straight out of Pride and Prejudice. It's one of the best aspects, though sometimes I felt bogged down by it.
The book switches perspectives between Kamran and Alizeh, with Alizeh's perspective taking one day. I'm still unsure how I feel about Kamran. I go back and forth between being irritated by him and sympathizing with him. I felt for him in the moments when he grieved his grandfather and in the moments of self-reflection. I think the author should've leaned more in that direction. Also shoutout to Hazan for being the only level-headed one.
Cyrus and Alizeh's enemies-to-lovers storyline was practically made for me. Their banter was A+, but I was hoping for some more bonding between them. I thought they shared some sweet and tender moments, but never got to know each other ya know and Cyrus's declaration felt out of place.
Another thing was Cyrus lacked character development. We got glimpses of his past but none of the questions I had were answered(like why did he kill his father).
Overall a filler but ok read. I might just wait until the series is over before continuing
Also, none of the quotes hit as much, perhaps because Cyrus was unconscious when he said them lol
↪“Your name,” he said, and closed his eyes. He nearly fell over, catching himself at the last second. “I didn’t know your name for so long, angel. I love the way it feels in my mouth.”
This made me laugh and have second-half embarrassment sorry 😂
↪“I hate you," he whispered.
"I hate everything about you. Your eyes. Your lips. Your smile." His words grazed her skin when he said, softly, "I find your presence insufferable.”
Cyrus is much better when he's stoic

I am unsure what happened after the first book was so good. This was a whole lot of talking and a whole lot of NOTHING HAPPENING. I was a little disappointed. HOWEVER. This new romance?? I am here for it. THE SLOW BURN IS SLOW BURNING. AMAZING ENEMIES TO LOVERS TROPE APPLIED HERE, AND I WILL BE CONTINUING JUST FOR THAT. THANK U.

This one was like 20% plot, 80% vibes. Not too sure how I feel about that. But I am curious to see where this goes next
