a freaky little graphic novel about codependency and yearning and not feeling at home in your body. i liked the characters, even though i also thought they were annoying; they all just seemed like real people (minus starman, ig) with realistic foibles. the jury was a really interesting representation, liked that a lot.
the art was cool, i always prefer color in my graphic novels, so the black and white was underwhelming in light of the cover design.
i think the strongest thing about this novel was the MCs internal monologue and growth. the recurring ruminations and flashbacks tied everything together with a mixture of comedy, honesty, and existentialism.

Also I appreciate a narrative about being in love with your best friend that ends with realising that that's your problem, don't blame them for not reciprocating, the jealousy and posessiveness wouldn't be a healthy start to a realitionship anyway!
