This is the first nonfiction book I’ve read in a long while what kept me super engaged and actively wanting to pick it up. This book was so well done. It was told as a narrative, but through layers and lenses so that the reader could follow the chronological storyline from multiple, relevant facets. I love history, but it’s so easy to get the writing of history wrong. The Mexican Revolution is so important, yet not often taught well to the point where white Americans know next to nothing about it. This book is a good place to start.

This book provided history that I didn't know that happened. It was a very intriguing story.

The audiobook narrator is misprouncing names to the point that I cannot follow. Will try again with the book.

this book is excellence. incredibly well researched, incredibly informative. Hernández put together a remarkable work that does so much more than retell history. Bad Mexicans intriguingly captures the viewpoint of every party in the fight for (and against) the revolution. Bad Mexicans should be a Times bestseller.
