I could not get into this book. I liked her writing style but the characters and the plot just fell flat.

3.75 ⭐️ (and yes the .75 matters!)
The beginning got me so good! The title of this book perfectly matches the delightfulness of scheming that occurs. I absolutely giggled my little face off at Rose trying to recreate a certain sound in a carriage ride. She was full of spunk, and sass which isn’t always seen in a regency novel. I wish the ending portion wouldn’t have wrapped up so quickly, and it wasn’t as insta-lovey otherwise my rating would have been higher! The themes of grief were well handled with care as well.
