I had been told that this series was great and that I needed to read it. I'm sorry to say that I wholeheartedly disagree when it comes to my tastes.
The art is barely even sketchy and very rough in places where it has no reason to be. An artistic choice and style that seems to have hit it with a lot of people, but one that I can't get over. It's just not for me.
The story is somehow both infantile and overly complicated, where nothing really happens to support significant character growth in the insane amount of characters while simultaneously having way too much happening at the same time.
It might be a combination of me not being in the right age group and jumping in with volume three, I'm perfectly willing to go with that, but I honestly did not enjoy reading this one at all.

Thank you to NetGalley and WEBTOON Unscrolled for the chance to read.

I continue to be ambivalent about Gwen's love life.  Now that there's a new suitor on the block (one who reminds me of the nonbinary pride flag no less, which is quite fun), I can't get myself to take a side.  They both seem mediocre, to be honest.  I'm more intrigued by Gwen's relationship with Frederick than with Leopold, but even then, I'm more interested in them as friends than as fiancés.

I'm most intrigued by the current CPC subplot, where a handful of club members have resolved to investigate Gwen's backstory and whether she might be cursed.  I'm looking forward to unveiling the mystery of her mother and learning more about her potential curse.  I appreciate that one of the characters made a joke about Gwen just needing to grow out her bangs (my biggest gripe with her appearance), but I want to know how seriously I should take references to her hair having the texture of seaweed and her skin being scaly.  If she's not fully human, then what other explanation could there be but a curse?

There's so much about this fantasy universe that has yet to be explored, and I imagine that plenty of details will be left unaddressed, like how the geography works so that members from every kingdom are able to mingle so easily (with travel often taking under a day by foot).  But one thing that I hope to learn more about is the system of magic in this universe, specifically how witches and monsters operate.  My current guess is that Gwen's mother isn't fully human, but I don't know enough about how non-humans exist in the universe of "Cursed Princess Club" to understand or even begin to speculate on the ramifications this might have in the story.

Still, I am resolved to keep up with this series as the physical volumes are released, because, despite my lack of interest in the romantic subplots, I am very invested in Gwen's story.  Even the subplots that don't catch my interest are still quite fun at times.
