I was hooked from the start. Once I picked it up it was so hard to put back down. I finished in just two days. I liked how the story and characters develop as she discovers each new memory. Great plot, great book!

Bingeread! Devoured this book in under 24 hrs! BUT it’s yet another amnesia story..so 3 stars.
I liked the premise of this book. Kyra wakes up and discovers she lost her memory. Her husband is taking care of her as she recovers. And he’s perfect. He loves her and painstakingly tries to help her reconstruct their lives together.
But the Kyra starts to remember things. And things aren’t as they seem.
Like so many of this genre, this was a good premise that fell flat. I was engaged through most of it and then the ending came. I thought the ending was rushed and didn’t particularly make much sense. There were so many questions and gaps in the story that just didn’t make sense. So that ruined the story for me in the end.

I really enjoyed The Twilight Wife. The setting was amazing - Banner's descriptions of the Pacific Northwest and the isolation of the islands was so real and visceral that I could imagine being there right alongside Kyra and Jacob. The mystery was tightly knit and very well-written. I'll admit that I guessed whodunit very early on in the book, and I even guessed some of the methods used... but I didn't come close to guessing the full story. It was very creepy, to be honest, if you look at it from a very objective perspective. Banner does
I definitely do want to look for more books by Banner. I love psychological thrillers in this vein - not too scary and not gory at all; intriguing enough to make me want to keep reading without being intriguing to the point of weaseling into my nightmares. Two thumbs up!

not go into detail about the Oedipal connection but it is definitely there.I definitely do want to look for more books by Banner. Fabulous, once I started this I couldn't put it down...sadly real life gets in the way and I had to at times but at every opportunity I found I kept hurriedly turning the pages. Thrilling plot, and great ending. I look forward to more by A.J. Banner in the future.
Just ok. Forgettable but had me intrigued. Wanted to know the ending. Good enough to finish not good enough to recommend.
My name is Kyra Winthrop. I dropped my maiden name, Munin. I've been married to Jacob Winthrop for nearly three years. I have to keep reminding myself."
And so begins this story of Kyra trying to live in the now but being haunted by memories she can't quite grasp. She's suffering from amnesia - can't remember the last 4 years. For her, she's nearing completion of gradschool and her marine biology career. In the here and now, she's actually married, deep into her career and studies and lives on a pretty remote island. She's trying to live in the now with her husband but she keeps having snippets of memories and bad dreams.
This wasn't a bad story - quick and easy to read. I just wasn't wowed. I didn't find the end a surprise nor the twists and turns as we got there. But I did enjoy it for the easy read it was.

I guessed all the major twists from the first clues. Loved the Pacific Northwest setting. Random counselor in the middle of nowhere referred by the crazy childhood friend was a weird addition.
