Incredibly boring. The only redeeming feature of this novel is that the author has a nice writing style, but all the characters are so boring and unlikable. The only one I actually liked was Helen or the cook at Kate's job. Other than that everyone is boring, no one has character growth and keeps on making the same mistakes without any actual thing to be learned by the dull ending.

I enjoyed this book but the ending was a bit of a let down I thought and I didn't really warm to the characters . I always seem to enjoy the read with Joanna Trollope though
