i had such a good time reading this. gray left home at a young age and is now being asked to come back to help out. emory never left and is wanting to explore his feelings towards men. so what happens when these two meet and the chemistry between the two of them is amazing? exactly, how perfect.

i loved the small town vibes i got and enjoyed the dynamic and the rebuilding of familial relationships.

thank you to neon rainbow reviews for the arc

The amount of heteronormativity in this, and trying to meet people’s expectations, drove me so insane I almost had attack. I can’t believe people still try to choose their kids careers for them. Or their girlfriends! It pissed me off so much and then it was overcome so easily. A bit ridiculous how Emory was tying himself in knots for his parents and basically as soon as he told them what he actually wanted they were fine with it. 🤦🏻‍♀️ But it was a pretty emotional read for me, which is a plus. 👍🏼

Axel’s story is next. He was probably my least favourite of the brothers. But oh well. I’m sure I’ll learn to love him.

DJ has done it again can I give this a trillion stars instead of just 5. I want to hug all the brothers so badly but I'd give Holden a nod instead of course.

We met Gray in Swallow Cove now he's back with his foster brothers trying to save the family business that their foster dad ran into the ground almost. Also turns out there is more too which they all find out from Emory who is the VP at the local bank.

Emory is also the one that Gray saved one night from same guy who got Gray outed and kicked out his home as teen. Emory doesn't want to see them lose their business so gives another option.

Gray and Emory are getting to know each other. Emory's only out to his best friend and so it's a little complicated,  but thank you DJ for not pulling some 3rd act break-up when things hit the fan and Emory is outed.

I loved the characters in here so much that were good. (Sheriff and his son can take flying leap). I can't wait for the other three books. I want Holden's the most though because he needs so much TLC. So happy how this ended and can't wait for more.

This book was so good, I can not wait to continue this series. Gray and Em are such a beautiful story of finding one’s truth and personal survival. Really enjoyed the found family aspect and family reconnection.
