Boring and too unrealistic.

I want to express why this book did not work at all for me, but I think it would just degenerate into a rant. So I will just say that this has no business being shelved in non-fiction and it was insanely frustrating. Surprised I made it as far as I did.

This is a book that has wide acclaim and makes for some light reading. The book as denoted by the title, recounts the life of a Yogi from the first person perspective. Often, we get to read about core philosophical aspects of Kriya Yoga and Advaita Philosophy but for the most part, it is biographical in nature. The book is rife with miracles and encounters with occultism and gives an insight into the religious and scientific paradigm of India in the early 20th century
