I’m really bummed I didn’t like this considering I’ve loved their other stuff. I just found these characters to be kind of insufferable. It was also a realllly slow build for me and I kept checking to see how much I had left and was exasperated that there was still SO MUCH BOOK.

Also the Bart Simpson tattoo joke is funny one time. Shut up. I don’t want to hear it fifty times.

This one didn’t draw me in like some of Christina Lauren’s other books. Still a fun summer read!

What in the feminist nightmare did I just read? I was having a good time until 71% when Jess started slut shaming Fizzy and equating cheating on your wife & mother of your child with being promiscuous in your 20s. I thought I could get past Jess being a shitty friend BUT THEN Connor played the victim by saying he was hurt and angry at her leaving after she found out that he crossed one of her hard boundaries??? Especially after having shared with him her trauma of being the other woman in the past, how bad it messed her up, and how much therapy she needed??? I should have trusted my gut and tapped out at 76%.

Fizzy was my favourite character in The Soulmate Equation and they really did her dirty with this book. The bar need not be this low, Christina and Lauren.
