A very broad and shallow survey of hundreds of mental models, some as brief as a single sentence. Although it has interesting parts, I struggle to see the real purpose of this book. If it's to teach you to use the models, very few of them go into enough detail, and the structure of the book is more of a long connected prose description than instructional how-to.
I listened to this in the car (via audiobook) and found it chock full of lovely reminders/tips for avoiding logical fallacies. He combines popular thinking models from different domains: psychology, economics, business, political theory, and presents them in topical chapters. Really enjoyable.
Good launching reference point for mental models. This book just skims the surface with a lack of substance, but it’s still a lot to digest. Although, the book would be over 1000 pages if each model took a deep dive. Find the ones that work for your situation now, do some online digging and put them into action.

This book is an organized survey of mental models. It's written cohesively and easy to read. Most concepts are easy to understand at the surface and most examples I found very well aligned with the model. I don't have any complaints about it at all, quite enjoyed it and highlighted many things to review.
Good for people who like the idea of systematic or visual thinking. When someone explains something to me, I organize it visually in my head. These models help me arrange information into common patterns. If you think similarly, or want to try it, then I recommend. Even if you are familiar with some models already like I was, it exposes you to many, many ideas.

Being able to spot mental models / biases in the wild used to be a thing I enjoyed a few years ago so I knew I'd probably enjoy a "glossary" of them stitched together. This was that and more though. Gabriel also brings up a lot of useful tools to use in increasing your rational thinking prowess.
I think this book is a nice introduction into the world of meta-cognition and especially useful for a beginner entrepreneur, even if only to get acquainted with the various terminology she might encounter in the VC jungle.
