This is part of my on-going project to read all the Jack Reacher novels in order of publication. This is #4, and it's not my favorite, as it hinges on a factor that, as I understand it, is not plausible (no spoiler here). Still, I enjoyed reading it.
Disastrously bad. Absolute garbage. I know going into a Reacher book, I'll have to suspend my disbelief and bite my tongue about casual sexism, but the plot of this mess is deeply stupid while elevating misogyny to an art form. The most damning critique of all: it's not fun!! What's the point of a Reacher book without action? A real shame, since the good ones in this series read like popcorn--this was stale licorice.

A good story with twists and turns.
There's some warped characters in there - a bit too much for me, I find it distracts a little from the flow of the story but that aside it was a very fun and easy book: what I'm coming to expect and enjoy about the series.
The side characters never take much stage time but I enjoyed them a lot in this book than the last one and I thought the villan was done a lot better too.
All in all I'd recomend it to anyone looking for an easy read that's filled with action in the crime genre.

The weakest of the series in my opinion. Still Reacher, so still worth a read.
Incredible twisty turbulent storyline that it was nice to go through and a atypical ending which I hadn’t expected. Superb narration as well

2.5 out of 5 for this 4th book in the series
I think I will take a break from Jack Reacher for a while...
a fast read, but poorly written in terms of the prose and I'm getting a bit tired of Jack's interactions with the women in his life. In the first two books, those interactions were just part of a good male-written thriller (a la Wilbur Smith adventures)... but now it's just tedious.
