Didn't like the narrator

It's not the book, it's me. I'm used to the vague but sensual R18 scenes in Asian gay novels, hence, the straightforward descriptions of the those kind of scenes in this book are really not my thing. It's just really the preference. I like my steamy scenes with sensuality before the main course.

The imagery is a bit lacking as well. 

Also, I did not connect with any of the characters.

This was one of the best KJ Charles i've read and the audiobook performance was stunning. If you like Pride & Prejudice, this one's for you
