I liked this one. I liked the slow burn of it. I think authors try to bring spice earlier in slow burn by having the characters use their imaginations. One or two times they had that inner monologue I was like, ok this is going too far, like the other person must be waiting minutes for this to take place. But honestly I get trying to balance and tease while maintaining the burn. I liked the first scene a ton. Liese was a little more subtle with her autism info in this one and I don't think that's a bad thing. I appreciate the 'own voice' she brings. I like when things are well integrated and it doesn't sound like an author just opened up a DSM and started checking boxes. Also appreciated Ziggy's back story which showed how she got diagnosed later (typical of girls with autism) and that there were mental health repercussions that she was vulnerable about sharing.
As always representation of neurondivergence, chronic illness, and LGBTQ+ is a major plus. These characters were a man and a woman and she didn't need to add info about their sexuality and preferences but she did and I liked that.
Overall it was a cute one.

4.75 out of 5 Stars: I loved this book so much! I wish I could've seem more of the hockey side. But I adored there was no third act break up. There were times the characters took space but it was more so for work reasons. I love they started as friends and built up and they were both patient and willing to learn about each other's needs and struggles. This is definitely a slow burn because the spice was at the end but it was very yummy. I enjoyed the relationship building. This author is definitely one I recommend for diversity and inclusion!
Chloe Liese does it again - this may just be my favorite of the Bergman siblings series.

I generally have enjoyed this series a lot but they feel like 20-25% too long and I really felt it in this one. It was a sweet story and I liked the relationship between Ziggy and Sebastian but in the whole series, nothing is very surprising so it doesn't feel like it needs to be as long as it was. I do enjoy the whole Bergman clan but I'm kind of ready for this series to be over too. I will definitely finish out the series though!
