This was such a classic! It felt like a bedtime story all the way through. Of course I was somewhat familiar with the tale and some of the characters, since I have seen the LotR movies. At times it was a bit cheesy, but I recognize the era in which is was written. The OG isn’t cliche because it was one of the first of its kind! Anything after would be considered cliche. I am contemplating reading more Tolkien.
