AHHH ANOTHER SUPER FUN READ. There was a lot of mystery weaved into this one. Even though I already read it, I completely had forgotten that it was Ginny. Highkey was suspecting Percy

Second read: again, amazing. I love seeing all the side characters and Ginny having a part to play in everything. The more mundane bits too are surprisingly some of my favs ?? Like them stressing about exams or going to potions. Gildory is still so so so annoying in the best way and him losing his memories is the ultimate karma tbh.

The final fight ended very quickly, but I loved seeing more of the twins and other weasleys in here (I've seen all the movies multiple times but first time reading the books)

Enjoyed this with my daughter.
Never got into this series when it came out, as I believed myself too old at the time (these did start off as kids books).
Figured I would someday read it to my kids.
Just as we were getting started with the second book I learned the author has gone off the deep end.
I’m not going to guide my kid towards this anymore.
Bummer

Good book

Found the ending confusing, still not clear why the Phoenix knew to come to Harry or why the sword showed it self. Other than that a fun read! Can’t wait to read the next one in the series.

⭐️ 5/5. Harry Potter book 2 is a little darker than book 1, but not too much. And it still has all the coziness, humor, and characters I love from book 1. Also, this might be a hot take, but I really enjoy the character of Gildaroy Lockheart. He’s just so funny in an “I kind of want to punch him” kind of way. He’s a great addition to the story.
