The book was quite alright :) I like Harry Potter like all the rest, but I think this book was a bit scattered... JK has had better books than this one in the series; and so I've given it a mark of 3.

The second book in the Harry Potter series, Chamber of Secrets, covers Harry's 2nd year at Hogwarts. The story focuses on solving the mystery of what lives in the Chamber of Secrets, and why it is petrifying muggle born students.
I found the first half of the book a bit slow and plotted along. However, the second half of the book was very engaging as the quest to find the Chamber Monster picked up speed, took the reader on twists and turns, and reconnected with some of the mundane events in the first half of the book.
Superior storytelling for youth and adults. I'm a fan of Nordic Noir books, and this was also a bit dark with a good mystery. I'm looking forward to following Harry and his friends in book #3.
