I got sucked into this book right away and immediately liked Kate and Callum. Immersed in the Scottish countryside I was drug into their world.
This book is raw and beautiful. I loved being a part of the hardships and healing. Tears fell a few times and also smiled. I learned a little more about love by reading this book and came away with a lesson for my heart.
If you like character growth to be strong… this is your book! I’ve never hated and loved a character at the same time as much as with Callum. Then there is Kate, strong and independent yet full of emptiness. Watching them was a roller coaster of feelings.
I highly suggest you read this book ASAP!
Thank you to for the early copy in exchange for an honest review. These opinions are my own.

I got the opportunity to read an eARC of the latest book by @authorheidikimball Heart in the Highlands! Heidi is a favorite regency author of mine and I’ve long been anticipating her next book.

This book takes on a more somber tone than Heidi’s other books. I loved the moody Scottish setting and dialogue as well as the heartfelt character development.

Though this book wasn’t as fluffy as other regencies, I found the romance to be genuine and natural, showcasing the struggles of forgiveness, love, and trust.
