Wow, it’s so good! Emily Henry’s 2nd novel might just be better than her first one, and it was at the top of my list last year. The characters, the vacations, the emotions were so well done.

I loved the friends to lovers troupe in this book, such a slow 12-year burn that was worth it. I love that Alex and Poppy are opposites; they seem to balance each other, and throw out of balance any other relationship.

I’m recommending this to everyone. I can’t wait for more from Emily Henry!

Ok dang this was beautiful and fun and I loved it. I cried so much during this book. It really made me realize how important it is to be friends with your partner and that along with that comes love and intimacy. This story was amazing and I will definitely be reading it again and again!

This book was okay! Definitely overhyped, although I felt the same with Beach Read, although I enjoyed that more.

I liked the characters enough but found Alex quite boring. I found the story extremely predictable, nothing happens between the characters until 70% in which is a long time to wait. It kept me reading and interested but nothing happened that I wasn’t expecting. At times I could relate to their relationship, that friendship that you fell more for but constantly push it down. But in this case there was nothing stopping them from getting together except themselves and their fears which I found slightly immature. I didn’t love Poppy’s journey it felt more so like she was changing herself and it wasn’t natural. The book was cute and funny at time, but was very anticlimactic, nothing special was happening here.
