didn't really care about the characters ngl but the monologue about being an adult hit harddd. also really enjoyed the way you expect them to not talk for two years because of a big fight when really they just drifted apart. i now crown emily henry as the queen of writing realistic books.

Read via Audiobook.
I really enjoyed the friends to lovers romance in this book. It was written so naturally and not forced. The characters were relatable and they seem like a blast to go on vacation with.

4.5 ⭐️ I loved this book! The slow burn was slowwwwww but built up a great amount of tension and angst! Gave One Day vibes but obvs better seeing as I DNFd that and loved this!

lovely romcom setting, with enough aspirational vacations to make it dreamy and reflexion about love and growth to make it worth while

*1.5 || Update (25-04-22): I was right, I honestly can't remember what the book was all about lol, so I'm changing the rating to 1 star :)

I’m reading everyone else’s positive reviews and wondering did we read the same book?? Because i really didn’t enjoy this one.

I don’t mind friends to lovers trope, i think it’s cute. But reading this book, i didn’t feel the “friendship”, she was so in love with him right from the start, therefore it didn’t feel to me like they were truly just friends. The whole summer trips they had was a fun idea, yet it was reeeaaallly boooorring!! I just couldn’t care less about there past trips, and i skipped a lot. I was this close to dnf it.

It wasn’t the worst thing i’ve ever read, but it was very meh, didn’t make me swoon and I’ll probably forget all about it tomorrow
