This is a powerful story. Some have said it feels jumbled and confused but if you read it through a survivor's eyes then the story makes sense. Girl A is one of the children who survives the tabloid named House of Horrors. This is her chance to make sense of what happened to her and her siblings all those years ago at the hands of her zealous father and mother. It is a difficult read in many places, sickening in others and deeply sad throughout.

Meh - not sure what all the fuss is about.    Simply an average book, why write about child abuse unless you have something compelling to share.  Prurience dressed up as literary fiction.
