An unflinching look at chronic illness, how the United States sick care system is killing people, and informative on points about how to support people living with chronic conditions.
I would have liked some more detail about how you get from here to there....how you get from "I don't want anything like this happening to me and it's devastating and I think about it all the time" to "my life has inherent value and I have learned to connect with other people over this.". As in, real detail. What were her first interactions in online forums like? Are there times when the dialogue of disability exhausts her? How do you figure out how to be genuine in this world when you don't want to disclose your personal health information but you also don't want to mask?
Moderate: Medical content
