To said the way this fantasy world was created for me it’s fantastic.
I like the background of Sofie and how her character develops thru the whole book. The adventures she gets on.
Howl for his part is such a complex character, and yea I know he is vain , extremely so. But his character does have great development. I love the intrigue and things going on with Calcifer and Michael.
I will said I saw the movie first and well I loved so much that obviously read the book. Now for me both are fenomenal in their own unique way and I will always recommend both.

Loved! It was so different from the ghibli movie but neither are better than the other, they stand separate from each other and both are good in their own ways. I think I prefer movie Howl, but I loved book Sofie. The book being so driven by her perspective and what she understood was so interesting! We get to experience the story from her pov at the same time she does. I also loved Sofie's sisters and Michael (Marco equivalent). I liked how Calcifer was the same baha <3

Ich mochte das setting, die Atmosphäre und die Charaktere. Der Anfang der Geschichte war eine super Einführung in die Welt. Allerdings war die Geschwindigkeit der Erzählung in der Mitte sehr langsam und am Ende dann sehr schnell und verwirrend. Ich konnte einiges nicht nachvollziehen (z.B. Howl's Fluch) und viele der Beziehungen zwischen den Charakteren nicht richtig greifen.
Ich war mir eigentlich zu 100% sicher, dass ich das Buch mögen werde, weshalb ich umso enttäuschter war.
